Food Recall Checker is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information.
This app does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
Scanned product history, favorites, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to us or any third party.
The app makes network requests solely to look up product and recall information:
These are public APIs. Only barcode numbers and search terms are sent in these requests — no personal information is included.
The app uses your device camera solely to scan barcodes. Camera access is requested only when you use the scan feature. No images or video are stored or transmitted.
If you enable notifications for a product, the app uses local notifications to alert you about recall status changes. Notification permissions are requested only when you first enable this feature. No push notification servers are used.
This app does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
